At Lakeside Callas we grow
species and hybrid Zantedeschia, which are commonly
known as Calla Lilies. While Callas are our specialty, we also grow
many other beautiful
specialty cut
flowers. We delight in finding unusual or uncommon
varieties, and while you
may not find your standard nursery fare here, you will always find something interesting!
Calla Lilies are native to
South Africa. There are seven species which grow in colors of
white, yellow, and pink. White Calla
Lilies have always been a romantic favorite, elegant
in arrangements and sought
after for weddings and funerals.
They are evergreen plants that
normally bloom in the winter.
Hybridizers
have created the summer blooming colored callas, which are sometimes
called Mini Callas, although they grow from 8 to 30 inches tall
and the flower diameter can
be from 1/2
to 3-1/2 inches. Callas come in almost every color- except blue!
Lakeside Callas grows over 100 different varieties of Calla Lilies.

About Us
Lakeside Callas is owned by Susan and Harry Bryant. We love the outdoors and
love growing
interesting and unusual
plants and flowers. We are members of the
International Bulb
Society, American Horticulture Society, and
International
Aroid Society.
Strictly Mom and Pop growers,
we only grow the biggest and best bulbs to share with our
customers- who we hope to make
our friends!
And now for a small service announcement- our beloved
dogs Puppy and Casey were
rescued from a shelter, and we found
them through the National
Anatolian Shepherd Rescue
Network (NASRN). This great organization consists of unpaid volunteers that try to find
homes
for dogs, often pulling them out of kill shelters and putting them in kennels
until they
can find foster or forever
homes for them. They also provide food, and medical care for dogs.
I wish I could provide a home for more of these dogs, they are wonderful working
dogs
and excellent companions. Please do
what you can to help by
donating
to a great cause.
You can do it very easily by PayPal or sending a check.
Thanks for listening!!
Our “Be a Buddy" Fundraiser is an easy way to change the luck
of a homeless ASD.
By taking a few minutes to donate online, you can make a difference today
with a small donation. Your donation goes a long way to help support NASRN so
that we can provide the necessary food, medical care, and time needed to find
a forever home for our dogs.
Please take the time to give $1 or more to our
“Be a Buddy”
Fundraiser. We are a volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit organization
and 100% of all money received goes directly to the care of the dogs. Please
donate directly at our website :
